Ali and moriah love checking everyday to see the lil king! we will be down there fri sat and sun this week soccer touremnet would love to see you gyes, even if only 5 mins but totallly understand if unable. call us if you get a chance love you gyes soooooo much the andrews family!
Our family also adopted a baby boy from Ethiopia with America World. I've been following your blog all along (sorry this is my first comment). Anyway, I wanted you to know that I'm rejoicing with you as the three of you are now home together. I had a tough journey, too - traveled alone & got sick. It also took me over 30 hours to get home...but that was almost the easy part in my case. I've been praying for the two of you like crazy over the last week+ and just wanted you to know it.
God's grace & mercy are, indeed, sufficient. First time parenthood is a trip...first time adopting was a big trip for me, too! Give yourselves time & lots of grace in the coming months. Things will begin to click and "gel" more & more with each day and week that passes. The 3 & 6 month marks were both huge for our family. But, truly, every day for those first few months I could feel us bonding & growing & loving more & more. It's still like that (8+ months later) in some ways.
Blessings to the three of you as your journey continues! I know these first weeks are tough trying to get your little one healthy and wrapping your hearts and minds around everything...and trying to eek out some sleep somewhere in between. I hope you will both find joy & peace in the triumphs and the challenges. I also hope you'll continue posting so I can keep following your journey. ;)
Your little king is gorgeous and he looks so perfect with his daddy & mommy! Lots of good times ahead...
Wow! I'm so happy you guys made it back in one piece! Sounds like you've just been to hell and back. I think if you guys can make it through that, you can do anything! We've been praying everyday for you and we can't wait to meet him. He's just beautiful! Love to you, Christy
Sam and Ana, we're glad you made it home. We thought about you often during the rest of Saturday evening and are glad you were able to get some much needed rest.
Aaron has a picture on his blog of five of the six kids in our group together. I hope we'll be able to get them together periodically and track their progress.
It was an amazing week, and we are blessed to have been able to share it with you and the other families.
God bless.
Tom
P.S. I'll send you the pictures later this week (I'm still feeling a bit discombobulated as well...)
I'm so happy to know that you're home and safe, and that your little miracle is in your arms as I write this! Blessings to all three of you...we'll be keeping you in our prayers.
You two are amazing parents with the most beautiful baby boy! I am so happy that you finally can begin the rest of your lives as parents of the lil king. You guys have had such a long journey and i am soooo very proud of you for staying so strong!! i love you both and cant wait to meet the little man Danica and boys
We are Sam & Ana Nunez. It has definitely been a tough road to the beginning of our family. In late 2003, we received the amazing news that that we were pregnant. We were ecstatic! And were excited to raise our kids and be the best parents we could be. Just as we began to celebrate and prepare for a new addition our doctor gave us the news that the progress of the baby had stopped and that Ana would mis-carry. From 2003 through late 2005, we suffered 6 miscarriages and to this day we have no logistic answer why. Our decision to adopt came from the Lord. Having a huge heart from children and embracing the temporary responsibility of raising them for God's kingdom, we decided to start our family by adopting.
The specifics of God's plan have been tailored to fit our every need. Today we celebrate Josiah (2.5 yrs old) and our little miracle baby AnaBella (9 mos.).

Awesome, that's all I can say.
Alexis says, "Your baby is so cute, that's probably why you cried".
